Abstract
The following case report describes a patient with Permanent junctional resiprocating tachycardia which is a rare form of supraventricular tachycardia in newborn and its also related with tachycardia-induce cardiomyopathy. Fourty-two days old female child had presented with tachycardia and irritability. Electrocardiogram depicted narrow QRS tachycardia and inverted P waves in leads DII, DIII, aVF. Echocardiography revealed left ventricular systolic dysfunction. After medical treatment the cardiac functions was normal. We emphasize that permanent junctional resiprocating tachycardia is one of the few treatable cause of cardiomyopathy in children.
